Product Description Discusses the field of geography and how it helps you locate where you are or where you might like to be From School Library Journal Grade 36 This book is a bit fragmented, covering such diverse topics as drawing a map, reading a map, characteristics of all seven continents, locations of mythical places, howto information for writing to a pen pal, and more. The reading is fairly easy, and the glossary is helpful, but a lengthy discussion of map reading with no illustrations of them is unnecessarily confusing. The occasional line drawings are merely decorative. How Maps Are Made (Facts on File, 1987) is a much more concise and interesting treatment of this subject for the same audience.
