I picked up 'Why Am I a Jew?' hoping to find clarity on some questions I've had about my identity. The book is well-written and offers a contemporary perspective, but it definitely challenges a lot of traditional beliefs. It's a bit dense at times, so be prepared to really think about what you’re reading!

This book is a fantastic conversation starter. I bought it for a study group with some friends, and we had some engaging debates about its themes. However, I found some parts to be a bit convoluted. I think it helps to have some background knowledge before diving in.

Not what I expected at all
Honestly, I was disappointed with 'Why Am I a Jew?'. The title had me thinking it would be more of a personal exploration, but it felt more like a philosophical treatise instead. The ideas are intriguing, but I struggled to stay engaged. It’s not a bad book, just not for me!
