Fehlererklrung liegen oftmals implizite, nicht nher ausformulierte Annahmen zugrunde, was Korrektur oder Fehlererklrung sei, die Konzepte gehen dabei entweder davon aus, dass Fehlererklrung ein der Korrektur inhrentes Phnomen sei: Wenn korrigiert wird, ist praktisch die Fehlererklrung schon inkludiert bzw. die Fehlererklrung setzt dort erst an, wo die herkmmliche Korrektur mit ihrem Markieren und Ausbessern von Fehlern an ihre Grenzen stt. In einigen Arbeiten wird der explizite Aspekt der Korrektur gegenber dem impliziteren der Reparatur herausgehoben. Auch der Terminus Fehlerbehandlung wird fters verwendet und bezieht sich generell auf den Umgang mit Fehlern, sie bestnde aus Handlungen, durch die Lehrer Korrekturen initiieren, besttigen oder vollziehen (Edmondson 1993:59)' und ziele auf das Einleiten einer Korrektursequenz. In dieser Arbeit gehe ich von der Definition der Fehlererklrung als Teilaspekt der Korrektur aus, der sich an die Schritte der Identifikation und der Fehlerbeschreibung anschliet und schluendlich in die Fehlertherapie mnden kann, wobei die einzelnen Schritte nicht als genau gegeneinander abgegrenzt erscheinen, sondern teilweise flieend ineinander bergehen. Aber wie sieht Fehlererklrung eigentlich aus, was fr Information muss der Lernende erhalten, um zu erkennen, was er falsch gemacht hat? Ist das nicht genau der wunde Punkt, an dem Fremdsprachenlehrer ansetzen mssten, wollten sie den Schlern Einblick in sprachliche Strukturen der Zielsprache gewhren? Dieser Punkt, der hier ausgeleuchtet werden soll und zu dem diese Arbeit einen Beitrag leisten will, besteht in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Art und Weise, wie Lerner durch Feedback des Lehrers Informationen ber Richtigkeit oder Fehle
