Der russische Schriftsteller Arkadij Timofejewitsch Awertschenko (18811925) ist als ein fhrender Satiriker der letzten Zarenzeit in die Literaturgeschichte eingegangen. Seine Geschichten hat er in seiner eigenen sehr berhmten Zeitschrift "Satirikon" (ab 1913 "Nowi Satirikon") verffentlicht, die nach der Revolution strikt verboten wurde. Die gesellschaftskritische Position von Awertschenko hat sich nach der Revolution nicht gendert. Von der Karikatur des Lebens in der Zarenzeit ging er zur Kritik des Lebens unter den Bolschewiken und in der Emigration ber. Lenin hat ihn als einen "bis zum Wahnsinn erbitterten Weigardisten" bezeichnet.
