Im Bereich dazwischen befindet sich das Lizenzspiel, dessen Produktions und Rezeptionsbedingungen exemplarisch untersucht werden. Lizenzspiele sind Gesellschaftsspiele mit einem Thema, welches bereits als Fernsehserie, Film, Buch oder PCSpiel vorliegt. Lizenzspiele nehmen damit eine wichtige Stellung in der Vermarktung von Medienverbundsystemen ein. Nach der Matura schloss er erfolgreich sein Diplom in GrafikDesign ab. Dieses Buch entstand im Zuge seines darauf folgenden Studiums der Publizistik und Kommunikationswissenschaft an der Uni Wien. Thematisch folgt es seinem Schwerpunkt Ludologie (Game Studies), wo er aus eigenen Erfahrungen in der Spielebranche schpfen kann. Er ist seit mehreren Jahren als Spieleautor (z.B. Crime & Mystery) ttig und arbeitet als Spieleredakteur bei der renommierten Spieleagentur White Castle.
