There was not one single monoplane in squadron service in 1936 when Wilfred Freeman accepted the task of choosing the aircraft with which to rearm the RAF. Freemans ruthless quest for quality and exceptional organisational ability resulted in the RAF being equipped with a superb range of aircraft from the Spitfire and Lancaster to the Mosquito (Freemans Folly) and the Merlinpowered Mustang.

I really enjoyed reading 'The Genius Behind Allied Survival and Air Supremacy'. It dives deep into strategies used during 1939-1945, and it’s clear the author did his homework. The way it covers air tactics is particularly enlightening!

Great Insights but Lacked Depth in Some Areas
This book has some amazing highlights regarding WWII strategies. However, I felt that certain parts could have used more detail, especially regarding ground tactics. Still, it's a solid read for any history buff!

Disappointed by the Presentation
I was excited to read about the genius behind the Allied efforts but was let down by the book's layout. The cover design felt cheap, and it arrived with a few bent pages. The content itself is good, but the packaging was a letdown.
