Product Description The tall beautiful Indian woman riding the huge Appaloosa horse was a legend of her own making. She had wandered into an Indian village as a small child wearing only a wolf skin with a story of being there to save the People of the prairie. She would ride the prairie fighting the injustices caused by the invasion of the white man. Through the fears and pain of the Indian wars, she rode as a Warrior Woman and became the greatest legend in the West. From her adoption of a white child to her conflicts with Custer and her love of Sitting Bull, she showed love and compassion, and sought the right to justice for women and children. She was called Windwoman. About the Author Barbara lives in Spokane, Washington. An avid reader since the age of five she found it hard to find books that held her attention and wanted to write her own. A love of literature and romance, especially historical romance compelled her to study writing and history. Being the family storyteller came easily, but actually writing didn't happen until a family member presented her with a computer. Calling herself the Grandma Moses of literature, she now spends most of her time writing or researching for a new book.
