I bought this book as a gift for my dad, and he loved it! He’s always wanted to know more about wine’s background, and this made for great reading. The illustrations are a nice touch, though I wish there were more pictures. Still, he found it very engaging!

"A Very Peculiar History" was intriguing, but I expected more in-depth analysis on some topics. While it did cover a lot of ground, I found a few parts to be a little superficial. It’s good for a light read, but I was hoping for something more scholarly.

Not What I Expected at All
I wasn’t thrilled with this book. I ordered it thinking it would be more historical and educational, but it felt more like a collection of random facts thrown together. Also, my copy had some pages crinkled when it arrived. Sadly, I won’t be recommending it.
