This translation into Persian is part of project to translate WinniethePooh into other languages. The idea is children need to learn to read at an early age and the best way to teach them to read is to provide reading materials that they find interesting. Since WinniethePooh is the most popular childrens book worldwide, translating this book into the different languages of the world will be conducive to teaching children to read in those languages. Persian is the language of Iran and Tajikistan as well as parts Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is also called Farsi in Iran and Dari in Afghanistan. It is also spoken in Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Russia and New York. In the written form, many people who speak other languages read and write in Persian. Most Pashto speakers write in Persian because the written form of Pashto is difficult and not well known. Persian was at one time the main literary language throughout the Middle East. There are an estimated 110 million speakers of Persian in the World today. Almost all of the languages of the Middle East have borrowed heavily from Persian. Persian words can be found in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali and just about all the languages of India. Many of these languages use a modified Persian alphabet.

I got this Persian edition of Winnie the Pooh for my children, and they absolutely love it! The translation really captures the charm of A.A. Milne's original story, and the illustrations are delightful. This book has made reading time so much fun for us!

Arrived Late, But Worth It
I was a bit disappointed with the shipping time, it took longer than expected to arrive. However, once I finally got it, I was charmed by the translation quality. The book is lovely but packaging could've been better to avoid some minor dents.

Good but Needed More Context
The translation is definitely nice, but I felt like some cultural references didn't really translate well into Persian. It was a bit confusing at times for my younger siblings. Still, they enjoyed it overall.

My Favorite Childhood Book!
