So die verkrzte Lexikondefinition des Begriffs Soziologie. Erweiterungen dieser Definition sind mglich, oder richtiger notwendig! So liee sich etwa eine Differenzierung nach Institutionssoziologie (also z.B. Religionssoziologie, Familiensoziologie, etc.), nach sozialen Problemfeldern (wie Kriminalsoziologie, Minorittenfragen, usw.) und nach der Grenordnung der untersuchten Einheiten treffen (Mikro, 'mittlere Ebenen' und Makrosoziologie). Was haben die Begriffe 'Wissen' und 'Vorurteile' mit dieser Wissenschaft, der Soziologie, zu tun? Ist es bei nherer Betrachtung mglich die entsprechenden Bezge isoliert zu betrachten, oder mssen hier nicht benachbarte Wissenschaften (wie die Philosophie, Psychologie und Pdagogik, aber auch der Konstruktivismus) herangezogen werden, um zu einem annhernd befriedigenden Ergebnis zu kommen? Diese und angrenzende Fragen sollen im Weiteren nher untersucht werden. Anhand zunchst getroffener Definitionen der jeweiligen Begriffe sollen relevante Bezge dargestellt werden, wobei sich an das 'In Bezug setzen' von 'Wissen/Vorurteilen' zur Soziologie eine Erweiterung dieses Vorgehens auf die erwhnten Nachbarwissenschaften anschliet. Abschlieend wird versucht, die hierbei gewonnenen Erkenntnisse wiederum in Bezug zueinander zu setzen. Natrlich ist es Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit nicht mglich umfassend vorzugehen. Einzelne Elemente werden herausgegriffen, womit ein gewisser berblick ber die Anstze geschaffen werden soll.
