Das in dieser Arbeit zur Diskussion gestellte Konzept des Wissensmanagements schliet an die Zeitdiagnose der so genannten Wissensgesellschaft an. Die Strnge des Diskurses um die Wissensgesellschaft laufen dabei in verschiedene Richtungen, einen sich aber in der These, dass die moderne Gesellschaft sich in allen Bereichen hin zu einer ausgeprgten Wissensbasierung entwickelt hat. Im Zuge des Konzepts der Wissensgesellschaft erscheint die Idee reizvoll, dass auch oder: vor allem unter konomischen Gesichtspunkten, um Wissen nutzbar zu machen, es sinnvoll sein knnte, Wissen handhabbar" zu gestalten, es zu managen und damit fr Personen, vor allem aber fr Organisationen, wo Konzepte des Wissensmanagement mit besonderer Brisanz verhandelt werden, verfgbar zu machen. Im Wissensmanagement knnte man somit m.E. eine Antwort" der Organisationen auf die Zeitdiagnose Wissensgesellschaft" sehen. Die vorliegende Arbeit sucht jedoch keinen vorschnellen Anschluss an die gngigen Konzepte des Wissensmanagements. Vielmehr soll hier der Versuch einer Problematisierung des populren Ansatzes vorgenommen werden, denn es lsst sich die eindeutige Tendenz beobachten, dass, je grer die unterstellte konomische Bedeutung von Wissen eingeschtzt wird, desto unklarer wird, mit welchem Wissensbegriff in der Debatte um den Nutzen und Einsatzgebiete des Wissensmanagements berhaupt operiert wird.
