For three decades beginning in 1909 Kewpies dolls reigned in the world of dolls. Appearing first as paper dolls, they quickly morphed into actual dolls and finally appeared in every sort of conceivable object form including dishes, trinkets, sewing novelties and even wallhanging pennants. Over 500 objects related to Kewpie and Rose O'Neill, who designed the Kewpie, appear in this 144 page full color book representing the singleowner worldclass Kewpie collection of Rose Marie Willruth of Lancaster, Massachusetts. Assembled over several decades the collection includes extraordinary bisque action Kewpies as well as O'Neill ephemera of all kinds, ranging from documents to drawings to objects.
