This report is based on a study carried out in one private school in Karachi, Pakistan focusing on two withdrawn children and their classroom participation.Though the teacher had undergone a professional development course introducing her to childcentered pedagogy to enable her enhance classroom participation of all children she was not able to maximize on her PD training for withdrawn children classroom participation. However the teacher created a warm, friendly classroom environment that perhaps resulted to the occasional interaction of the two children with the teacher.
