Gerade auch im Epos Parzival' werden die Kindheit und die Adoleszenz des Helden zur Grundlage der Erzhlung. Der Erzhler zeigt auf, welchen Entwicklungsweg der junge Protagonist Parzival durchlebt und stellt insbesondere Gegebenheiten und Ereignisse heraus, die ihn whrend der Kindheit bedeutend prgten. Die erste Entwicklungsstufe und die daraus resultierenden Konsequenzen bilden den Fokus dieser Studienarbeit. Diese versucht zu untersuchen, aus welchen Grnden Parzivals Lebensweg von Identittssuche und Fehlverhalten bestimmt ist. Welche Rolle spielt in dieser Hinsicht Herzeloyde, die Mutter Parzivals beziehungsweise, welchen prgenden Einfluss bt gerade sie auf die Entwicklung ihres Sprosses aus? Und, zieht man die mittelalterliche Auffassung von Erziehung in die Betrachtung ein, was ist so anders an Parzivals Aufwachsen? Auf diese Fragen versucht die Autorin im Verlauf der Studie Antworten zu finden. In ihrer Analyse bezieht sie sich lediglich auf die erste Entwicklungsstufe Parzivals, auf das Aufwachsen in Soltane. Diese Eingrenzung erscheint geeignet, da einerseits der Umfang der Arbeit einzugrenzen ist und andererseits fr die Autorin feststeht, dass grundlegende, prgende Einflsse auf das Wesen des Protagonisten in diesem frhen Stadium anzusiedeln sind.
