Wolfscratch Wilderness' gives an excellent history of the part of North Georgia which came to be 'Big Canoe,' a gated community. The book starts with the removal of the Cherokees to Oklahoma and examines the various families that owned tracts of land in the area, ending with the Tate family who ultimately owned most of the land. A very interesting book!
