So weit an dieser Stelle und in aller Krze der Inhalt der USamerikanischen Sitcom 30 ROCK, die im Fokus der vorliegenden Arbeit stehen soll. Eines der wichtigsten Charakteristika der Serie ist dabei, mit Mitteln der Parodie und Satire unterschwellig Kritik auf eine Dimension zu ben, zu der sie selbst gehrt bzw. als Produkt wiederum selbst Teil davon ist: die Rede ist von der USamerikanischen Fernsehindustrie. Zielsetzung dieser Arbeit ist es, anhand der Betrachtung der speziell zu diesem Zweck ausgesuchten Sitcom 30 ROCK deren Funktionsweise von Humor und insbesondere der in die Serie eingeschriebenen Kritik genauer zu verstehen. Den Auftakt macht zunchst ein berblick ber den festen Mikrokosmos' von 30 ROCK, d.h. die Kerninhalte, den vertrauten Ort der Handlung und die grundlegende Figurenkonstellation. Auerdem fasst eine tabellarische Zusammenstellung im Anhang zu dieser Arbeit die wichtigsten PlotInhalte sowie spezifische Beobachtungen und technische Aufflligkeiten zu jeder einzelnen Folge sofern zutreffend kurz zusammen.
