A companion to Writing: The Bridge Between Us, the Teacher's Manual provides teachers, and especially homeschooling parents, with ample ideas about how to teach the course. The first part of the book addresses typical concerns that teachers may have, as well as problems they may encounter in teaching writing. It also supplements the main book with ideas about how to warm up the class, how to integrate outside reading into the lessons, and how to discuss the material effectively.The second part of the Teacher's Manual provides chapterbychapter assistance. Objectives for each chapter are listed, and possible solutions for the exercises are discussed. Warmup activities, discussion points, vocabulary, and outside reading particular for that chapter's lessons are included.While the course can certainly be taught without the Teacher's Manual, having it will ease the process and lessen the workload for the parent or teacher.
