The Israel Museum is proud to conclude the roster of its program of exhibitions for the new millennium with Written in the Stars: Art and Symbolism of the Zodiac. This undertaking, a research enterprise in archaeology, ceremonial art, and the fine art, which embraces all of the disciplines represented represented in the Museum's curatorial wings, explores the origins and representations of the zodiac in pagan, Christian, and Jewish traditions. It also focuses for the first time on the longstanding and distinctive practice in Judaism of depicting the zodiac.
