Die vorliegende Arbeit ist in den Jahren 1981 bis 1989 am Institut fr Thermo und Fluiddynamik der RuhrUniversitt Bochum entstanden, sie wurde von der Fakultt fr Maschinenbau a 1 s Habilitationsarbeit ange nommen. Mein besonderer Dank gilt Herrn Professor M. Fiebig, der diese Arbeit untersttzt und viel zu ihrer Diskussion beigetragen hat. Den beiden Gut achtern Herrn Professoren F. Kahler und Herrn Prof. K. Stephan danke ich fr die kritische Anmerkungen und Hinweise auf Druckfehler, welche in der vorliegenden Fassung bercksichtigt sind. Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) hat durch die mir gewhrleiste ten Sachbeihilfen Le 444/1, /2 und /3 die experimentellen und numerischen Untersuchungen gefrdert. Herr Dr.lng. Lsing hat im Rahmen einer DFG Sachbeihilfe einen groen Teil der experimentellen Untersuchungen durch gefhrt. Herr Dr.Ing. D. Claes hat im Rahmen einer weiteren DFGSachbei hilfe die Strmungsfelder um sich ablsende Blasen und die Blasenkonturen berechnet. In Studien und Diplomarbeiten haben die Herren Boiting, Farmakis, Rie, Grate und Schmitz Siedecharakteristiken gemessen, hat Herr Bhnisch Kon turen und Maximal vol umina von statisch haftenden Blasen berechnet und haben die Herren Wi esner und Hesel haus Blasenkonturen kinematografisch ausgewertet.
