The author of the bestselling (and controversial!) Grand Canyon: A Different View, Tom Vail teams with coauthors Mike Oard, John Hergenrather, and Dennis Bokovoy to present a oneofakind exploration of the Grand Canyon. It is a massive, beautiful natural landmark carved out by water but was the Grand Canyon formed slowly over millions of years or quickly after the Flood? This is the essential argument between the evolutionary and the creationist points of view. The Canyons eight million yearly visitors are presented only the evolutionary view that is, until now. This unique handbook is a detailed guide to the beautiful sights and landmarks of the Canyon and is an essential tool for families and individuals interested in the park. The guide includes significant geological sites, suggestions for visitors (whether you have a lot of time or a little), biological and historical tidbits, and much more. Has over 25 full color fold out pages.

I bought this guide for my recent trip to the Grand Canyon, and it was super helpful! The True North series gives great insights on trails and viewpoints, and I really appreciated the detailed maps. It made our hiking adventures so much better!

Disappointed in the Coverage
I was expecting more from a guide in the True North series. The content felt sparse and didn't cover some essential areas of the park. I had to supplement it with info from a website, which was frustrating. Not what I hoped for!

Good Info, But A Bit Outdated
The guide has a lot of useful tips and info about the Grand Canyon, which helped me plan my trip. However, some details seemed a little outdated, especially regarding accommodations. I wish it had more updated recommendations!
