You are on a mission. God has you on this earth to be a witness for Him. As you read the stories contained within these pages, you will have a greater knowledge and appreciation for what the Lord is doing around the world. You will also be able to practically apply each story to your own life. And hopefully, by the end of 31 days, you will have a renewed passion to share the love of Christ from across the street to around the world. About the Author Joseph L. Williams grew up in a strong missionminded family, and took many summer trips to the country of Haiti. His father, Dr. J.L. Williams, founded New Directions International (NDI) in 1968. Joseph graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Communications in 1995. Since that time, Joseph has been in fulltime mission work with NDI, most recently as Vice President of Marketing and International Ministries. Cumulatively, he has spent well over a year of his life taking more than 36 shortterm mission trips to over 27 countries. He met his wife, Susannah Wesley Morris, while helping lead a youth work team to Haiti in 1995. Joseph currently resides in Graham, North Carolina, with Susannah and their two children, Nathanael and Abigail. His first book, entitled Hardship, Healing, and Hope: How God Still Moves in the Lives of His People, was released by VMI Publishers in May 2007.
