Arbeitslose verlieren mit ihrem Arbeitsplatz die Zeitstrukturen der Er werbsarbeit. Wie mnnliche Dauerarbeitslose vorwiegend Facharbeiter und Angestellte sowie einige Fhrungskrfte, "alternative Unternehmer" und Ungelernte mit dieser Zeitstrukturkrise umgehen, ist Gegenstand dieser Studie. Lebenszeit und Zeiterleben der Betroffenen verndern sich. Sie sind aus zeitlichen Zwngen und Sicherheiten des gesellschaftlichen "Leitsystems" entlohnter Arbeit "herausgefallen" und mit Chancen und Belastungen der Arbeitslosigkeit konfrontiert: Eine Situation, in der auf ihre verkautbare Arbeitskraft verzichtet wird und in der sie auf ihre gesell schaftliche Ntzlichkeit nur mehr retrospektiv oder antizipatorisch Bezug nehmen knnen. Bis zu ihrer Reintegration oder Ausgrenzung sind sie auf Zwischenlsungen verwiesen. Die Mechanismen und Verfahren sozialer Sicherheit, qualifikationstechnischer "Wiederautbereitung" der Arbeits kraft sowie die Strategien der individuellen berlebenspraxis vermischen sich dabei in einem heterogenen Proze angestrebter und erlittener Reor ganisation von Alltagszeit und Lebenszeit. Wir untersuchen die Bewltigung der Zeitstrukturkrise von Arbeitslo sen im biographischen Kontext mit Hilfe narrativer Interviews. Das Kon zept der Zeitstrukturkrise bezeichnet zunchst den mit dem Arbeitsplatz verlust gekoppelten Vorgang der Trennung von objektivierten zeitlichen Bezugsstrukturen der Erwerbsarbeit. Damit geht eine Transformation des Verhltnisses von individueller und sozialer Zeit einher; denn der Verlust der Erwerbsarbeit als gesellschaftlich hochbewertetes Vermittlungsglied zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft beinhaltet einen einschneidenden Wechsel der normierten und normativierten Zeitbezge. So sind fr Ar beitslose die Zwnge des betrieblichen Zeitdrucks Stetigkeit der Ar beitsleistung, Pnktlichkeit, Einpassung in einen przise vordefinierten Arbeitszeitrahmen irrelevant geworden.
