1. 1 Einordnung und Gegenstand der Arbeit Die Kognitionswissenschaft als Disziplin der Erforschung des menschlichen Denkens, die sich im Grenz und berlappungsbereich von Psychologie, Informatik, Linguistik, Anthropologie und Philosophie einordnet, kann aufgrund ihrer relativen Jugend weni ger auf ein eigenes, wohlabgrenzbares Methodeninventar verweisen, als vielmehr ihre herausragende Charakteristik als die der Interdisziplinaritt beschreiben. Interdisziplinre Wissenschaft beruht auf der Bercksichtigung von Ergebnissen verschiedener Disziplinen zu einem Gegenstandsbereich und geht auf die verschiedenen Annahmen, Methoden und Ziele, die zu den Resultaten gefhrt haben, ein. Unter dieser Voraussetzung ist die Mg lichkeit, auch einen facherbergreifenden Beitrag zu leisten, gegeben. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht in erster Linie sprachliche Ausdrcke, in denen KardinalNumeralia (ein, zwei, drei, ... ) auftreten. Hinzukommen eng verwandte sprach liche Phnomene, wie die Betrachtung des Numerus und des Verhaltens von Nomen, die sich hnlich den Ma und Zhleinheiten (Liter, Stck) verwenden lassen. Die Untersu chung wird unter der Fragestellung durchgefhrt, welche Leistungen ein natrliches oder knstliches System der Sprachverarbeitung erbringen mu, um eine vollstndige Repr sentation der Bedeutung eines sprachlichen Ausdruckes zu erlangen.
