Sozialisation (lat. sociare verbinden, vereinigen; engl. socialization). Prozess, in dessen lebenslangen Verlauf ein Individuum ber die kulturspezifischen Regulationen seiner Bedrfnisbefriedigung, den alltglichen Umgang mit Familienangehrigen und anderen Bezugspersonen, ber Lernprozesse im System der gesellschaftlichen Instanzen sowie als Teil bzw. Nutzer von gesellschaftlichen Institutionen die mehrheitlich anerkannten Kriterien fr erfolgreiches bzw. erwnschtes und weniger erfolgreiches bzw. unerwnschtes Verhalten, die wesentlichen Verstndigungsmittel und ein daran orientiertes Repertoire von Einstellungen und Verhaltensmustern erwirbt. Aufgrund dieser vielfltigen Erfahrungen und Lernprozesse wird das Individuum zum Mittrger einer Kultur, so dass das alltgliche Verhalten fr die meisten Lebenssituationen im Einzelnen berwiegend sozial programmiert ist. Dies stabilisiert Individuum und Gesellschaft und sichert auerdem Kommunikation und Kontinuitt. Das Individuum wird zur soziokulturellen Persnlichkeit. Die Sozialpsychologen sprechen von der Internalisierung einer Kultur. Mit zunehmendem Alter wchst durch subjektive Spontaneitt und uere Anregungen die Ausbildung der individuellen Urteilskraft, also das Vermgen des Individuums, den Prozess der kulturellen Regelung und Stabilisierung seines Verhaltens zu reflektieren, Alternativen, Widersprche und Wandlungen zu erkennen, Konflikte zwischen sozialen Erwartungen und subjektiven Standards zu fllen. Im Sozialisationsprozess ist das Individuum folglich nicht Objekt der soziokulturellen Beeinflussungen, vielmehr ist es von Anbeginn an der Gestaltung seiner soziokult
