In dieser Arbeit sind Aspekte der Werke Duel, Herma, MorsimaAmorsima und Syrmos von Xenakis sowie die Klavierstcke X und XI und das Werk Plus Minus von Stockhausen auf Zufalls und Determinationsprinzipien und phnomene analysiert worden. Es stellte sich heraus, dass sowohl die Konstruktion der Werke, als auch die Partitur und in einigen Fllen die Auffhrung stark ausgeprgte stochastische und deterministische Eigenschaften besitzen, die in vielen Fllen starke hnlichkeiten aufweisen. Die Entwicklung von Analysemethoden, die auf der Kryptologie, Statistik, Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und klassischen Musikanalysemethoden basieren, hat verschiedene neue Aspekte des Kompositionsprozesses, der Partitur, der Auffhrung und der Perzeption dieser Werke gezeigt.
