Nach dem Studium im Hauptfach Klavierpdagogik arbeitete er als Dozent fr Klavier und Klaviermethodik am Conservatory of Music in Wuhan. 2001 kam er mit einem DAADStipendium nach Deutschland und promovierte 2005 im Fach Musikpdagogik an der Hochschule fr Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Interkulturelle Musikpdagogik und Klavierpdagogik.
