Aus klinischer Sicht bestehen klare Forderungen nach schneller, einfacher und sicherer Messung einerseits und klinisch unmittelbar nutzbaren Ergebnissen andererseits. Die instrumentierte Ganganalyse soll diejenigen funktionellen Mngel bzw. pathologischen Gangmechanismen objektiv und reproduzierbar dokumentieren, die fr das Auge des Beobachters unerkannt bzw. unerkennbar bleiben." (Seichert, 1997, 2) Auch in den vergangenen Jahren schritt diese Entwicklung weiter fort, mit dem wesentliches Ziel, die Anwenderfreundlichkeit weiter zu verbessern. Einerseits hat diese sich durch die schnelle Entwicklung im Bereich Computertechnik und Softwareentwicklung, andererseits durch die Einfhrung funktioneller Parameter (fP) und anderer bersichtverbessernder Daten wie einem Symmetrieindex verbessert. Dies ist auch notwendig, da die enormen Fortschritte in der exo und endoprothetischen Versorgung die Ganganalyse zu einem wichtigen Mittel von orthopdisch/therapeutisch motivierten Evaluationsstudien machen, sodass man z.B. in Fragen des Qualittsmanagement zuknftig kaum ohne ganganalytische Verfahren auskommen wird (GtzNeumann, 2003). In dieser Arbeit sollen verschiedene funktionelle Parameter und Symmetrieindices beschrieben, verglichen und auf ihre wissenschaftliche Anwendbarkeit berprft werden.
