Die wirtschaftssoziologische Studie untersucht sowohl zwischen als auch berbetrieblich, welche Kooperationsformen sich warum etablieren konnten. Die Autorin befat sich im Einzelnen mit branchenspezifischen Kooperationsbemhungen in der Textil, Maschinenbau und chemischen Industrie in Sachsen (19901997). Eine wichtige Rolle spielen dabei strategische Akteure, die auch externe Berater oder Moderatoren sein knnen. Das Buch zeigt z.B., welche Strukturen die Zusammenarbeit im Bereich Aus und Weiterbildung ausgebildet hat und wie Wirtschaftsverbnde agieren. Ergebnis der Untersuchung ist, da in den neuen Bundeslndern die Unternehmenskooperation prinzipiell weder Blockaden noch besondere Frderungen aufweist. Bercksichtigt werden mu aber der Einflu des "staatssozialistischen Erbes" und damit ltere regionale Muster, die Akteure, Handlungsoptionen und Identitten prgen.
