In dieser Arbeit untersuche ich nun die wissenschaftliche Rezeption des Koreakrieges in den USA whred der 1950er und 1960er Jahre. Im Zentrum der Betrachtungen stehen die Darstellungen von Carl Berger und David Horowitz zweier Autoren, die fr ihre Zeit als exemplarisch gelten knnen. Anhand dreier Aspekte, die a) den Kriegsausbruch, b) Charakter und Bezeichnung des Geschehens in Korea und c) die Einordnung des Koreakrieges in den Kalten Krieg umfassen, sollen die Aufassungen und Argumentationlsinien beider Autoren vergleichend analysiert werden. Gleichsam wird auch die Frage nach der Validitt geschichtswissenschaftlicher Ertrge angeschnitten.
